Portrait of a Woman and Jesus
HE LOOKED THROUGH HER EYES
AND INTO HER HEART

What would it be like to meet Jesus face-to-face?

Stories of encounters women had with Jesus have been handed down through the centuries to give us a glimpse of how Jesus responded to women with similar needs and desires that we have today. Because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, we can be confident that He would treat women today like He did when He walked the earth. The purpose of this book is to encourage the reader by showing that Jesus understands her needs and desires and that He continues to unconditionally love, value, forgive, rescue, heal, comfort, provide for, restore, satisfy and give life – now and eternally.

This beautiful, full-color, hardbound book captures a verbal and visual “snapshot” of thirteen face-to-face encounters of a woman and Jesus. Each portrait created by artist Wilson Ong reflects how the scene may have unfolded as a woman interacted with Jesus. By placing yourself in each woman’s story and vicariously experiencing Jesus’ compassionate interaction and response to her, you can be assured of His foundational kindness toward you and become more deeply aware of the roles Jesus plays in your life today!

As we imagine ourselves walking in the sandals of the women blessed to have interacted with Jesus, we will witness how He:

- honored the faith of an anonymous woman who sought healing,
- willingly offered a sinner forgiveness and peace,
- mercifully rescued an immoral woman facing death,
- comforted a grieving mother,
- released a woman oppressed by an evil spirit,
- listened to the plea of a persistent mother on behalf of her suffering child,
- offered thirst-quenching life to a restless woman,
- elevated the status of a poor woman,
- taught His friends about eternal perspective,
- delighted in the outpouring of a worshiper’s heart,
- provided for His mother, and
- included the marginalized in His ministry.

Jesus’ eternal words of truth will speak to the feminine identity issues associated with value, safety, significance and beauty and confirm that He sees, notices, listens to, fully knows and answers us – because of His grace-filled love!

Tell Them About Me!

Shortly after I became a grandmother, I had a startling vision of millions of aborted babies blankly staring at me. Jesus was standing at my side and emphatically stated, “Tell them about Me!” This directive initiated a new focus of learning that encompassed the complex cultural issue of “choice” and the impact of “choice” upon those who were unable to choose – the preborn.

The booklet, “Tell them about Me!” is written from a unique perspective. It is written to aborted babies who had no choice. If they were able to receive these words, this is what I believe Jesus would want me to tell them about Him.

My intent is to share why these preborn babies have value, as seen through the eyes and heart of Jesus.
